One Direction Singer Liam Payne Talks About The Struggles In Finding A Name For His Baby

Liam Payne Talks 'Internal Battle' Against Cheryl Cole Over Naming Their Son Bear, and What Made Him Come Around

Liam Payne a former One Direction member turned to solo artist stated that it was an internal battle of him and his girlfriend Cheryl Cole in giving their first baby a name, Cole wanted it to be unique while Payne wants it to be a traditional name. Cole chose the name Bear because it is a name you will never forget after getting out of a room. And the "Best Song Ever" singer liked it and approved it immediately.

"You know what? Now he is Bear," Liam, 23, added. "When I look at him, he's just Bear. At first, I wasn't really having it. I was like, 'I'm not really sure. I don't really understand.' Now I look at him and he's Bear. You become your name as you get older anyway," the singer told E! News

The TV personality and Liam Payne welcomed their first baby last March 22. The couple announced this in a post on Instagram featuring the former One Direction carrying their newborn. He considered the said moment as the most unforgettable and the best time in his life.

 My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless... wow! I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far. I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she's really made my dreams come true. We haven't named him yet but he's already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed. Happy Mother's Day everyone!

Meanwhile, Liam Payne is ready to debut his solo album. The singer teased about his upcoming single "Strip That Down" in a post on Twitter. His upcoming single is expected to be hip-hop and would be very different from Harry Styles'. The singer is aiming to deliver songs that feature a mixed of Justin Bieber and Drake's style.

Prior to Liam Payne's teasing, Migos' Quavo hinted in a recent radio interview that he had just finished filming a video with the 1D singer. Upon his announcement, Liam Payne revealed that his first single is, in fact, the Quavo collaboration. One can hear Quavo rapping in the clip, "Move that down girl/ Love when you hit the ground girl."
