"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" might see the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. The actor hinted at his appearance in the film as a Force Ghost.

Fans waited for any news and confirmation about Anakin Skywalker's appearance in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" during last month's Star Wars Celebration. None came out but Christensen gave a big hint to his likely return as a Force Ghost in his short interview at the convention.

The actor said a few cryptic words when asked about his ongoing connection to the "Star Wars" franchise. "It's awesome. It's great to be back. My relationship with the films is still very much, sort of, very present in my life," he said. According to The Express, his statement clearly gives fans the impression that he is in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" as Force Ghost Anakin Skywalker.

It is only understandable that fans would assume that Christensen hinted to his appearance in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." After all, he has not appeared in any "Star Wars" film in the past 12 years. Likewise, his statement came after Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that the sequel is about all the Skywalker family.

Likewise, The Hollywood Reporter claimed that Star Wars: The Force Awakens" somehow hinted at Christensen's appearance as a Force Ghost in "Star War: The Last Jedi." Kylo Ren's obsession with Darth Vader is already a sign that Anakin Skywalker could appear to his grandson. His presence could help Kylo deflect from the Dark Side, given that Darth Vader did the same before he died.

If Christensen was indeed to appear in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" then it is likely as a Force Ghost, given that he is already dead. It would also likely be the redeemed Anakin Skywalker who appears and not Darth Vader.
