Ian Somerhalder Hollywood Career Update: 'TVD' Alum No Future Projects; Acting Career Ending?

"The Vampire Diaries" is one of the most popular TV series during its entire run on the CW. However, the "TVD" alum, Ian Somerhalder has no future projects after the said show.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev rock the world in their stint in "The Vampire Diaries." The exes made the viewers fell in love with them and their characters Elena and Damon. However, their career had a different turn after their split and after the "Flatliners" left the show.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Ian Somerhalder is left unemployed after his stint on "The Vampire Diaries." Nina Dobrev's ex has no future projects, so as his co-star Paul Wesley.

Meanwhile, their "TVD" co-stars Nina Dobrev and Kat Graham are having numerous films lined up. Graham is set to star in "Where the Money" and "All Eyez on Me." On the other hand, Dobrev already appeared on the big screen after her stint on "The Vampire Diaries" via "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" and "Flatliners."

Aside from Nina Dobrev's movies, she also landed endorsement and modeling projects for big name brands like Reebok, Donna Karan's DKNY. In fact, her net worth is reportedly rising.

Meanwhile, Blasting News hinted that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder's split affected the latter's career negatively. While the Dobrev has received lots of offer, the latter has no new project yet.

On the other hand, many are concerned about Ian Somerhalder's acting career, which seemed to be heading nowhere, especially that he and wife, Nikki Reed are expecting their first baby. The report noted that Somerhalder might live off "The Vampire Diaries" or have the "Twilight" star become their family's new breadwinner, now that she just launched her new clothing line, Bayou with Love.
