Chelsea FC has the chance to become the first club ever to win the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europe League titles in successive seasons respectively. That is, of course, if they defeat Benfica today in Amsterdam. After being eliminated in this year's Champions League, Chelsea is hoping to get at least one trophy this season. Benfica, though not accustomed to winning championships in recent years, are coming out today to prove that they can play with the best of them.

Chelsea's interim manager Rafael Benitez is no stranger to European championships either, and his tenure at Chelsea has been an eventful one. Though he is set to leave the team when they get a permanent coach, Benitez is definitely aiming for this championship tonight.

"If we can do it, I'll be so proud because we've worked hard for this," said Benítez. "It's a credit to the players. Every day I go home after training thinking we've done our best. To be here now is proof of that. We've been playing two games a week for a while now. You have to deal with a dwindling squad, with injuries and suspensions. We've already done a good job; hopefully we can do even better."

"Benfica created a name for themselves in the 1960s and 1970s," said Jorge Jesus, manager of Benfica. "It hasn't been the same in recent years but we've rediscovered our luster, some of our old prestige. If we compare our recent European pedigree with Chelsea's then obviously Chelsea are favorites. But a final is a final and we at Benfica have a different way of looking at it."

Jesus added, "They have better individuals, technically strong youngsters. They are a better team for them."

Chelsea's Frank Lampard and Cesar Azpilicueta took part in a short interview concerning the final matchup today. Check it out right here:
