The creators have remained mum on plot details for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2, although speculations point to two scenarios happening. The first involves a rescue mission for Summer and the second introduces a new love interest for Morty.

According to Inverse, in "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2, the titular characters may find themselves on a mission to rescue Summer. Summer may find herself in danger for reasons still unknown. This scenario supposedly harks back to what happens in the classic adventure film "Romancing the Stone," which is the likely inspiration for the episode titled "Rickmancing the Stone."

"Rick and Morty "Season 3 Episode 2 may see Summer kidnapped and his brother Morty has no choice but to save her. Rick joins him on the rescue mission, which could likely take place in some sort of jungle, be it in another planet or not. This is what happens in "Romancing the Stone," which tells the story of a mercenary and a journalist, who journeys through a jungle to find the latter's missing sister.

However, The Express claims that Summer may not be the one in danger in "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2. Instead, Rick and Morty may be on a mission to rescue Beth. Perhaps Beth takes a vacation or some alone time following her divorce from Jerry and ends up in trouble.

Meanwhile, "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2 could supposedly also introduce a new love interest for Morty. Perhaps he meets this new girl during the rescue mission and instantly develops a crush on her. Knowing Morty, he has a tendency to easily fall for the opposite sex. It is unlikely though that the episode brings a new love interest for Rick, since he has been very vocal about his lack of interest in love or romance.
