Google Pixel 2 is rumored to be having three models this year than its usual 2 models. The Pixel Family is said to have gained higher score than the Samsung Galaxy S8. Leaks showed that Google implemented dual camera setup and more major hardware updates.

With the ancient history of Samsung and Apple's rivalry coming to an end with OnePlus' entry, another tech veteran is going to drop a bomb in the very competitive smartphone market. Google, with its Pixel smartphone brand, will be releasing three variations of Pixel 2 handsets this year, as reported by Mobi Picker. This is a new move for the search company, as the usual number of devices in every release is 2, the usual Pixel and Pixel XL.

The standard Pixel 2 is codenamed "Muskie", the XL Pixel 2 is codenamed "Walleye", and the newcomer is codenamed "Taimen". This leak was found on Android Open Project, implying the possibility of the third Pixel 2 variant. The "Taimen" variant is reported to have scored a super impressive result in 6,248 multi-core tests, better than the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Google Pixel 2 is also rumored to be following the trend for curved OLED screens and minimalist design, as reported by Forbes. The leak was exposed by Weibo via recent renders. In addition, the phone is also expected to come with dual camera setup, with 16MP on the back and 8MP on the front. The Pixel 2 will be focusing on low-light photography.

Specs-wise, not much is still known about the coming smartphone. The only realistic guess is that the Pixel 2 will be housing Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835. As the following trend, the phone is also expected to be waterproof and "very different in terms of look and feel". Though it is possible that Google will ditch the Audio Jack, Google might still change its mind (because of Apple Airpod's reception).
