Milo Ventimiglia had some advice to give for fans awaiting "This Is Us" Season 2 and it involves Jack Pearson's death. The actor suggested that viewers watch the show not to learn about the character's death but on how he lived.

Ventimiglia, who returns as Jack Pearson in "This Is Us" Season 2, recently talked about fans' expectations when the series returns. The actor acknowledged that viewers are eager to know more about Jack's death in the installment.

However, Ventimiglia has a better suggestion for those who are curious about Jack Pearson's death in "This Is Us" Season 2. He said that instead of focusing on how the character died, viewers should pay more attention on how he lived.

"I think-look, go back and watch the episodes. Don't just watch them for Jack, watch them for every character and understand, let's say what the adversity is and the challenges are and how they're met with bravery," Ventimiglia told E! News in an interview about "This Is Us" Season 2 at the 2017 ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas.

The actor's interview came after showrunner Dan Fogelman confirmed that "This Is Us" Season 2 explores Jack Pearson's death. Season 1 revealed that he ultimately passed away, although it was not revealed how and why. The premiere of the new season will give a clue about his death, according to Fogelman.

"The first episode of the season holds not all the answers but a huge piece of the puzzle," he said as quoted by Entertainment Weekly. The showrunner added that fans will know more about Jack Pearson's death going into "This Is Us" Season 2. "Over the course of the season" answers will be revealed, but at the same time, new questions will also come up.

Fans will eventually learn more about Jack Pearson's death when the show returns. "This Is Us" Season 2 is scheduled to air this fall on NBC.
