"This Is Us" Season 2 will not be on TV for a while yet, but proper and phony spoilers already abound, thanks to the show's cast. And fans will be happy to know that some of those tidbits pertain to Jack Pearson and to his eventual death.

People already knew firsthand that Jack Pearson would die on the show. But the freshman run of the electric drama starring Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia did not give away any information as to how the main man dies. Thankfully, E! News caught up with some of the cast at the series' PaleyFest red carpet to extract some spoilers for "This Is Us" Season 2 from them. Chris Sullivan, who plays Toby in the show, said that the Pearson patriarch is not dead, but hiding away in Cuba. Chrisy Metz, on the other hand, said that someone is pregnant!

Now, that is a one-of-a-kind "This Is Us" Season 2. But aside from the cast pulling everyone's leg with regard to Jack Pearson's death, they did reveal during the panel that they know how Ventimiglia's character will bite the dust. They did not, however, reveal it entirely but they did comment on some wild fan theories.

According to Vanity Fair, a fair number of fans believe that Jack died during the 9/11 attacks as his children had an aversion to planes. Sterling K. Brown, though, said that was not it. Furthermore, the cast also denied that Jack met his Maker when a plane crashed in 1994 in Pittsburgh, the show's setting. Metz also shot down one theory that Kate accidentally killed her dear ol' da. Meanwhile, Justin Hartley led fans on by saying that he is actually alive and raising Miguel's kids. Indeed, the cast did not budge despite heavy questioning about Jack and "This Is Us" Season 2.

The PaleyFest panel would have been disappointing for fans who wanted to have spoilers regarding "This Is Us" Season 2 and Jack. But they would be glad to know that the show writers are meeting again on June to talk about the show's direction. Lastly, the highly-rated family drama does not just have a Season 2, it is already booked for a Season 3 as well.
