'Supergirl' Season 3 Stars Bollywood Star Amy Jackson As Saturn Girl

The return of Saturn Girl for the 3rd Season of "Supergirl" adds more girl power to the action-adventure TV series, that stars Melissa Benoist as "Supergirl." Benoist's character will face a more challenging threat for Season 3 with the "New 52" Supergirl villain known as Reign. Season 3 will start on Oct 9 on The CW with an episode premiere titled "Girl of Steel."

 Bollywood star and model Amy Jackson celebrates her debut as an actress with this new role of Saturn Girl for the 3rd Season of "Supergirl." In a report from Variety Saturn Girl has already appeared in "Smallville" Season 8 starred by Alexz Johnson, this time Amy Jackson will play Saturn Girl and will introduce herself to humans as Imra Ardeen. Born in Titan, the headstrong but compassionate Saturn Girl uses her telekinetic powers to help those in need, a reliable ally for Supergirl.

Saturn Girl came from the 1958's "Adventure Comics" #247 where she is one of the founding members of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th and 31st centuries is the first female character in a leading role in comic book history. Amy Jackson who will play Saturn Girl is popular in India as one of the most prominent leading ladies with her role as Amy Wilkinson in the Indian Tamil period drama film "Madharasapattinam." In a report from Deadline, Jackson will also be doing the movie "2.0" which is the sequel of India's Box Office hit movie "Robot."

Amy Jackson will also join newly picked actors for "Supergirl" Season 3 like Adrian Pasdar as Morgan Edge, Carl Lumbly as M'yrnn J'onzz, Yael Grobglas as Psi who will be another villain that can make their opponents mind against them, and the season's Big Bad called Reign who will be played by Odette Annable. "Supergirl" series is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros Television inspired by DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
