The famous but controversial life of former NFL player, broadcaster, and actor O.J. Simpson will be put into the center of attention again, as media and fans witness his release. During his hearing last July 20, the former football running back was granted parole after serving nine years in prison for being convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping in 2007. Even before that, O.J. Simpson was charged but was acquitted for the murder of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.

For O.J. Simpson who has served his sentence at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Lovelock, Nevada, this will be another fully publicized event although he is scheduled on Oct 1, a Sunday, there are still documents to be signed which can only be done on weekdays. In a report from National Post, Nevada Department of Corrections spokeswoman Brooke Keast confirmed O.J Simpson's release as early as Monday and as soon as the release papers and documents are settled. Keast also said that Simpson will be transferred to High Desert State Prison outside Las Vegas where he will be released.

Tom Scotto, a close friend of Simpson has also confirmed of his released but was also uncertain of the exact day after Oct. 1, even Scotto has no idea where the 70-year old named before as the "The Juice" will stay after prison. Sporting News reports at the parole hearing of O.J. Simpson that he might be living with a friend in Florida however, the Florida Department of Corrections requires some permits and documents to which Simpson has not yet processed. There is also no notification from the state of California that he can stay with his sister, Shirley Baker and his oldest daughter, Arnelle.

With this new development in O.J. Simpson's case, Nevada prison officials are looking for a big media event to occur upon his release. Officials are already planning on giving out photos, videos and other information that can pacify their anticipation.
