While the majority of music critics are ecstatic with what they are hearing from Daft Punk's new album Random Access Memories, EDM mainstay and producer extraordinaire Diplo is not pleased. The producer trashed Daft Punk's latest effort in a liveblogging style Twitter rant as he listened to the album.

"The song with todd edwards makes me feel like I'm alone at waffle house and the jukebox is broken and only micheal mcdonald plays out of it," wrote Diplo.

"The song with paul williams needs more sidechain and less ragtime barbershop quartet," Diplo tweeted, referring to the outer-space-inspired "Touch."

"This album makes me not like LA now I jus wanna hang out with mexican kids and tag ur car," Diplo wrote. The dig is referencing the fact that the album was largely inspired by the output of Los Angles area musicians in the late 70's and early 80's.

This final tweet is a jab at the overall sound of the album. The video that Diplo linked to is an old-timey performance of a slow song with one of the original guitar talk boxes.

That's not to say Diplo had nothing nice to say, he did appear to like "Doin' It Right" and "Motherboard." However, given their recent comments about EDM in general, I doubt that Daft Punk care all that much about what Diplo thinks.
