"Dark Knight" director and "Man of Steel" producer Christopher Nolan could be involved in yet another major movie series. This time, Nolan is rumored to be the next director of the legendary James Bond movie series. A few weeks ago, "Skyfall" director Sam Mendes announced he wouldn't be returning, which led to producers scrambling to find a new director for the next James Bond flick, "Bond 24."

"Skyfall" was the biggest Bond movie of all time, making over $1 billion, so the movie needs a big time director to follow up on that performance, which is where Nolan comes in. Nolan is a hot commodity, with experience directing, writing, and producing some major movie franchises such as Batman's "The Dark Knight" and Superman's latest "Man of Steel" movie.

Nothing is confirmed yet, actually far from it. Producers for "Bond 24" are, according to The Daily Mail, in the initial phases of reaching out to Nolan. They have reportedly just begun talking to Nolan about directing the latest Bond film. According to The Daily Mail, Nolan is said to be an admirer of current Bond star Daniel Craig. However, Nolan is a busy man, with his own projects coming up.

Nolan will soon be working on his next movie project, "Interstellar," starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, which is expected to be released in 2014. The producers for "Bond 24" are said to want the film to be released by 2015, which may make it difficult for Nolan to take on the project. "Skyfall" director, Sam Mendes, told The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye that the movie would need at least a year to 18 months of pre-production and about six months of filming.

What do you think of the possibility of Christopher Nolan directing "Bond 24?" Are there any other directors you would like to see take on the position of "Bond 24" director? Leave your comments below.
