Sunday night is WWE's first post-WrestleMania 29 pay-per-view. 2013 Extreme Rules airs Sunday, May 19 with a solid match card, headlined by the WWE Championship match between John Cena and Ryback in a last man standing match. There also are plenty of other news and rumors from the WWE and wrestling world, including an update on Bret Hart's rumored return to "Monday Night Raw" for Bret Hart Appreciation Night.

Extreme Rules consists of eight matches, each with its own extreme stipulation. The top of the card is hurt by the fact that Dolph Ziggler suffered a concussion and is unable to perform. As a result, Alberto Del Rio will face Jack Swagger in an "I Quit" match to determine the number one contender for Ziggler's World Heavyweight Championship.

Cena will face Ryback in a last man standing match in the main event of the night. Brock Lesnar and Triple H will face off in the third main event match. The two will have their third meeting in steel cage match. The Shield's Dean Ambrose will face Kofi Kingston for the US Championship, while his partners face Team Hell No for the tag team titles. The Shield seems to be starting to get stale, with no future direction for their characters. What is their end goal? In order to push them further, I wouldn't be surprised to see The Shield come home with both titles.

Sheamus will face Mark Henry in a strap match, while Randy Orton and the Big Show face off in an extreme rules match. Finally, WWE chairman Vince McMahon's pet project Fandango will face Chris Jericho in a WrestleMania rematch.

Bret Hart is set to appear on this Monday's "Raw" for Bret Hart Appreciation Night. However, according to F4Wonline.com, Hart recently had knee surgery, so he won't be booked for any physical angles.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, CM Punk's original timetable to return was this Monday's "Raw." However, things are being kept quiet backstage, and it all depends on how Punk's recovery is going.

Finally, Goldberg is once again making some news surrounding WWE. When responding to a fan's question on Twitter as to which WWE star Goldberg would want to spear the most, Goldberg tweeted, "Hunter.....hands down." Then when @kman9924 tweeted, "any particular reason or just the overall doucheness and politicking he exhibits?" Goldberg responded with "your observation is spot on." Also, when a fan asked Goldberg on Twitter when he would be returning to the WWE, he responded by tweeting, "When they learn how to run a business." Never say never when it comes to the wrestling business. Goldberg has never been openly positive about the WWE, but he did make it work once.
