Anyone who has been on Twitter within the past few days or hours has noticed that 'Drake' has constantly been trending and goofy Photoshopped pictures of the rapper sporting some old school 'Dada' gear continue to go viral!

Drizzy hasn't been making many "new friends" on social media lately, thanks to his "unfortunate" outfit choice for the upcoming music video that will feature his latest hit single with DJ Khaled & Rick Ross: "No New Friends."

A photo of Drake from the music video shoot (seen above) has recently surfaced the Internet and gone viral. It portrays the Canadian clad in an "urban" brand, that originated in the early 90's, known as Dada/Dada Supreme/Dada Footwear/Damani Dada (no this has nothing to do with the EDM duo Dada Life).

As MTV News originally reported, "The onslaught of jokes from fans and critics was unreal, with the Take Care MC receiving unprecedented amounts of backlash for rockin' the brand once endorsed by Chris Webber and Latrell Sprewell."

For those still unsure why Drake sporting Dada is such a big deal, nobody really knows..

It's still a mystery what "October's Very Own" will be up to in the unreleased "No New Friends' video, but some assume that the story line for the single has inspired the throwback gear (which also includes white Timberland boots as seen in another photo from the shoot).

An article from the Chicago Tribune (from 2004) dives into the Dada brand a little bit further. In 1995, the "street-savvy, signature style: of Dada was born, CT reports. It was heavily influenced by the hip-hop culture of the time, as the "urban" look was a growing trend. The Dada umbrella consists of "licensees in men's big and tall, young men's, women's, juniors, men's and women's footwear with distribution in the United States, Europe, Canada and Asia," according to Lewis (president & CEO of Dada Supreme).

As for the Drake jokes and countless Photoshopped pictures that have been taking over Twitter, here are a few funny examples:

"Drake running with Forest Gump."

"Drake like.. I can shoulder lean ion kno how to dance doe"

"Started at the bottom now the human race is here?"

Drake may have "started from the bottom," but now he's apparently EVERYWHERE!

While the rapper's wardrobe has caused him to receive much backlash on Twitter, his music has reportedly earned him 12 BET award nominations. Drake also recently announced the lineup for his 4th annual OVO Fest in Canada.

Check out more photos from the No New Friends video shoot as we wait to hear when the most-talked-about music video of the moment is anticipated to drop!

Let Drizzy's Dada debacle serve as a lesson for all the former "ghetto-fab" fashionistas out there who are still hanging on to their old FUBU, Phat Farm, Iverson, Mecca, G-Unit, Enyce, and Rocawear gear..keep it buried in the closet or be prepared to become the latest laughable Twitter trend.
