If you happen to meet "World War Z" actor Brad Pitt twice in your lifetime, don't be offended if he doesn't remember your face from the first time you met. This is because, according to Pitt, he suffers from "face blindness." The actor was talking with Esquire in an interview and he revealed that he may suffer from prosopagnosia, a disorder that impairs a person's ability to recognize faces. Pitt plans on getting tested for the disorder and in the meantime is enjoying spending time at home with his fiancée Angelina Jolie and their six kids.

Pitt told Esquire, that the disorder has been causing problems with people who get offended that he doesn't remember them. "So many people hate me because they think I'm disrespecting them," Pitt said. The 49-year-old actor has tried explaining his issue with people, but that doesn't always work. "People were more offended," Pitt explained to the magazine. "Every now and then, someone will give me context, and I'll say, 'Thank you for helping me.' But I piss more people off. You get this thing, like, 'You're being egotistical. You're being conceited.' But it's a mystery to me, man. I can't grasp a face, and yet I come from such a design/aesthetic point of view."

According to Us Weekly, other famous people with face blindness include painter Chuck Close and neuroscientist Oliver Sacks. As CNN reports, Carnegie Mellon University invited Pitt to get tested for prosopagnosia after learning of the actor's dilemma. The university put out a press release saying they are one of the few places that can actually test for face blindness and perform brain imaging.

Esquire's full interview with Brad Pitt hits newsstands on May 31.
