Legendary rocker John Fogerty has a highly anticipated new album coming out. "Wrote a Song For Everone" is set to be released May 28, 2013 with a number of high profile collaborations. Fogerty re-records a number of his Creedence Clearwater Revival hits with the likes of Kid Rock, Bob Seger, the Foo Fighters, Miranda Lambert and more. As is the case with anytime Fogerty comes out with a new project, his relationship with his CCR band mates comes up. Fogerty recently discussed why he doesn't see a CCR reunion ever happening.

CCR, despite their many massive hits, have had a long and bitter feud. The legendary rock singer talked with Classic Rock Revisited about the agreement he made with his CCR band mates following their initial breakup. "When the band broke up, I never had any problem not trying to abscond with the name Creedence as a solo artist," Fogerty told Classic Rock Revisited. "I just figured that you have to move on and try to write new songs. I just think that thing is from a certain time and it is untouchable, unless everybody is there. You can't do it unless everyone says it is okay to do it; that is how I approached it. It didn't look like that was ever going to happen."

Despite a new album full of star collaborations, it doesn't sound like Fogerty will be reuniting with his former band mates anytime soon. "George Harrison had an interesting statement about reunions," Fogerty said. "The same statement works for me: There can be no reunion as long as Tom is dead." Fogerty was referencing the death of his brother and CCR guitarist Tom. By the sound of that statement, it certainly doesn't sound like a reunion will be happening.

What do you think CCR fans? Will a reunion ever happen?
