Yikes!  Your obviously have to be careful when trying on makeup, especially lipstick.  One Rihanna fan learned that in the worst imaginable way possible.  While attending RiRi's Diamonds World Tour concert at Brooklyn's Barclay's Center, Starkeema Greenidge, was approach by a Mac Cosmetics rep and invited to try RiRi Woo, unbeknowest to Greenidge the lipstick was tainted with the herpes virus.

Greenidge, 28, new something was wrong when her lips were "red and swollen" the next day.  So after visiting a doctor and confirming that she indeed had contracted oral herpes, Greenidge filed suit against Mac, and not Rihanna of course.

"I wasn't able to work for two weeks. It cost me a lot of money," Greenridge told the Daily News.

According to the suit, the employee instructed her to "press her lips together and spread the lipstick around. [MAC] didn't use a fresh or new lipstick tube, but rather one that had been used for other patrons," the suit alleges.

This kind of thing (appyling lipstick straight from the tube) happens at make-up stations and counters all over the world.  If you are trying o a new shade, be cautious because if you are using the trial tube directly you never know who else is.  Its just unsanitary, and there is currently no cure for Herpes.
