Jessica Szohr Pole Dancing: 'Gossip Girl' Actress Tones Up for Role in 'The Internship,' Reviews Not Good for Wilson, Vaughn Movie?

Actors are known for going to great lengths to prepare for their roles. They also are known for utilizing a number of different techniques to get into shape for a specific role. "The Internship" actress Jessica Szohr falls into both of these categories when she tried pole dancing to get toned for her role as adult dancer Marielena. The 28-year-old "Gossip Girl" actress stars alongside Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn in "The Internship" which opened in theaters on Friday.

According to MSN Entertainment, Szohr had no idea what she was in for when she decided to join a pole dancing class to prepare for the role. "During my first scene, I was walking around in my bra and underwear in front of hundreds of people," Szohr said. "I had to bring my A-game. So, two weeks beforehand, I took a pole-dancing lesson. It's an insane work-out! I give strippers a whole lot of credit."

Szohr tweeted out a picture of her character in action. @iamJessicaSzohr tweeted, "A little sneak peak of #TheInternship :) comes out tomorrow June 7th check it out!" You can check out the picture below.

Meanwhile, "The Internship" opened up this past weekend and the reviews were generally not good. The IMDB synopsis reads:

"Two salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital age find their way into a coveted internship at Google, where they must compete with a group of young, tech-savvy geniuses for a shot at employment."

On Rotten Tomatoes, "The Internship" only got 33% positive reviews, but 74% of the audience who saw the movie liked it.
