Linda Cardellini Engaged: 'Mad Men' Star Announces Engagement to Steven Rodriguez on 'The View'

"Mad Men" actress Linda Cardellini announced she is engaged to her boyfriend Steven Rodriguez. The former "Freaks and Geeks" star made the announcement on "The View" this past Friday and shared the engagement details. The 37-year-old actress told "The View" hosts and audience that Rodriguez had popped the question in New York City the day before.

"I was surprised that it was happening at that moment," Cardellini said via Us Magazine. "We were actually with some of the people I love most: my sister, and my cousins and one of my best friends Maura (Tierney)."

Cardellini went to explain, "We were sitting there after watching 'Lucky Guy', the play ... and we were all having dinner - he brought my baby out - and we were sitting, and he started getting choked up and then he got on his knee. It was very beautiful."

Rodriguez and Cardellini have a one-year-old daughter together, Lilah-Rose. Before dating Rodriguez, Cardellni had reportedly dated her "Freaks and Geeks" co-star Jason Segel. Cardellini played Lindsay Weir on "Freaks and Geeks," which was cancelled after just a few seasons. However, the show became a cult hit and propelled the careers of Segel, Cardellini, James Franco, Seth Rogen and more.

Cardellini is now best known for her steamy scenes with Jon Hamm in "Mad Men." However, Cardellini also played Nurse Samantha Taggart in "ER" and starred in the movie "Grandma's Boy." Cardellini also revealed on "The View" that she had just lost 55 pounds from her pregnancy when she taped some very steamy scenes opposite Jon Hamm.
