The latest super hero blockbuster is finally here. Zach Snyder and Christopher Nolan's "Man of Steel" hit theaters Friday to a ton of fan fare and big expectations. After "Superman Returns" disappointed, Warner Bros. is hoping their Superman reboot with an all-new cast of characters can bring the franchise back to life. Early reports indicate, "Man of Steel" could bring in huge box office numbers during its opening weekend, but just how huge? There also are spoilers coming in from critics and fans, which I have for you below as well.

As The Hollywood Reporter notes, some experts predict "Man of Steel" could eclipse $100 million in its opening weekend. In fact, The Hollywood Reporter is speculating a $125 million opening weekend for the latest Superman movie. "Man of Steel" reportedly took in $21 million from special screenings along Thursday night. "Man of Steel" earned $12 million from special Wal Mart screenings along with $9 million from midnight showings. Will "Man of Steel" be able to matchup with "Iron Man 3's" blockbuster $174 million opening weekend? Keep checking Mstars as we give you the latest news from "Man of Steel's" big debut.

Lastly, you have been warned. Below are spoilers. If you don't want to know what happens in "Man of Steel" stop reading now. Entertainment Weekly reporter Darren Franich wrote an article detailing what "Man of Steel" got wrong. In the article he reveals what probably isn't a big surprise to many. Henry Cavill's Superman beats Michael Shannon's General Zod. However, what may come as a surprise to some Superman fans is that Superman kills General Zod. As EW notes, Superman is not known for actually killing his enemies, merely defeating them. It remains to be seen whether this will turn off hardcore comic book fans. Also, LatinosPost.com says that there is a passing mention of LexCorp towards the end of the film. So despite there being no Lex Luthor sightings in "Man of Steel," Luthor would seem like the obvious choice for the sequel's main villain.
