The Jonas Brothers opened up the 24-hour long O Music Awards yesterday (June 19) with a three-song acoustic set in New York City's Times Square.

The trio opened up with lead single "Pom Poms," which took on a bluesier, more sultry vibe at its slowed-down pace. The performance ended up being rather sultry and even had a bit of a salsa flavor. The new tempo didn't stop fans in the audience from singing along, though.

Watch "Pom Poms" below:

"We wanted to do something special for all of you here online and in the studio, sort of an unplugged version of our songs. So sing along if you know it," said Nick Jonas before launching into their upcoming single "First Time."

Though the song won't have its official release until June 25, the track has been making its way around the Internet over the last week, so the fans knew every word and sang along. The attendees could particularly be heard during the "Ooh"s of the chorus.

The stripped-down "First Time" replaced the electronic blips of the recorded version with a light piano and steady guitar strumming. The love song sounded even more heartfelt in this version. Watch the performance here:

The JoBros' set concluded with old acoustic favorite "Lovebug." The solid performance was as bubbly and cutesy as ever.

The acoustic versions of "Pom Poms" and "First Time" raise the question as to whether or not fans will ever heard a studio recorded version of the unplugged tunes, perhaps as bonus tracks on their upcoming untitled fifth studio album.

Bonuses and exclusives such as acoustic tracks aren't unheard of for new album release. In the past, the Jonas Brothers have had exclusive bonus tracks to Target, WalMart and iTunes.
