In tragic news Saturday, two people were killed in a plane crash at an Ohio air show. CNN affiliate WHIO reports, that a plane carrying a wing walker crashed and exploded, killing the pilot and the stunt woman. FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford said that the plane crashed between two runways in a grassy area at the Vectren Dayton Air Show. WHIO has video of part of the tragic crash, which you can see below.

As CNN reports, the air show announcer was describing the wing walker's stunt just moments before the accident. "You're facing that wind and then you have to fight the wind, and then you have to get yourself back upright. ... Watch this, Jane Wicker sitting on top of the world," the announcer described to the crowd. It was just seconds later that the plane plummeted to the ground and exploded amid the screams of onlookers.

The wing walker killed in the crash is Jane Wicker, reportedly a well-known stunt woman. A Facebook page titled "Jane Wicker Airshows" announced that Wicker was killed in the crash. The Facebook message reads:

"It is with sad hearts that we announce that Jane Wicker and Charlie Schwenker were tragically killed while performing at the Vectren Dayton Airshow. We ask for your prayers for the families and privacy of all involved and allow them time to grieve and work through these events.

No one else was involved in the accident."

CNN is reporting that the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash. The remaining air shows on Saturday were cancelled, but as of right now the shows on Sunday will still take place.

As of right now there doesn't seem to be any news on what caused the plane to crash.

Below is a news report from NBC Nightly News, showing part of the crash as well as pictures.
