Edward Snowden's Girlfriend Lindsay Mills [VIDEO], Photos: WikiLeaks Helping NSA Whistleblower Seek Asylum in Ecuador?

While questions remain about the whereabouts of alleged NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, there was little left the imagination about his girlfriend Lindsay Mills. The media quickly tracked down Snowden's girlfriend and started to report on her along with a number of racy pictures of the pole dancer from Maryland. There still isn't much known about Mills outside of her blog and that she moved to Hawaii with her boyfriend last year. So what is next for Mills and Snowden?

According to CBS News, Snowden has now fled Hong Kong where he had been hiding since revealing that he was the NSA whistleblower, and is reportedly in Moscow. CBS News reports that WikiLeaks is helping Snowden travel to Moscow in an attempt to get him to Ecuador to seek asylum. While the U.S. government tries to track him down, it now seems like Snowden has the help of WikiLeaks diplomats and legal advisors.

Meanwhile, not much has been reported on Snowden's girlfriend Lindsay Mills after an initial flurry of reports. The media seemed enamored with Mills for about 48 hours until Snowden called them out during an online Q&A with The Guardian's newspaper. "Unfortunately, the mainstream media now seems far more interested in what I said when I was 17 or what my girlfriend looks like rather than, say, the largest program of suspicionless surveillance in human history," Snowden responded to one question.

According to the Washington Post, Mills and Snowden had been together for eight years. Mills graduated from high school and college in Maryland, before the couple moved to Hawaii last year. However, it seems that Mills' blog was shut down soon after word broke that Snowden had left for Hong Kong. "As I type this on my tear-streaked keyboard I'm reflecting on all the faces that have graced my path," Mills wrote on her last blog post. "The ones I laughed with. The ones I've held. The one I've grown to love the most. And the ones I never got to bid adieu. But sometimes life doesn't afford proper goodbyes."
