Adrien Broner, a 23-year-old rising boxing star nicknamed "The Problem," won the welterweight title Saturday night after defeating Paulie Malignaggi in a 12-round split decision at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. ESPN reports that Floyd Mayweather Jr. watched from ringside as Broner fought for the first time at 147 pounds. Broner is now undefeated in 27 fights, having won three titles in three weight classes. However, it was his post-fight interview that has left some scratching their heads. Watch the video below.

There was a lot of trash talking before and during the fight, with Malignaggi taunting Broner at times during the fight. However, it was Broner's post-fight interview that resulted in Malignaggi getting in Broner's face.

"I lifted his belt and his girl," Broner said in the post-fight interview. Broner had used Malignaggi's ex-girlfriend during a pre-fight press conference to get under the boxer's skin and he apparently did it again after the fight. Malignaggi moved towards Broner yelling, "Don't brag about taking my side piece."

You can watch below the bizarre post-fight interview that nearly resulted in the fighters getting into it again.

Now that the undefeated Broner has the welterweight title and another victory, who will he face next? Well, he said in his post-fight interview that he would let the fans vote for who they wanted to see him fight. With promoters, managers, agents at the helm I highly doubt we will be seeing that happen, but it's an interesting proposal.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like we will be seeing Broner, known as "The Next Big Thing in Boxing," face the current big thing in boxing Mayweather Jr. Broner told ESPN's Michael Woods recently, "My big brother got his legacy, I got mine," Broner said about the possibility of fighting Mayweather. "I want to see him retire undefeated. I don't want to hand him a loss." However, if Broner is serious about having the fans pick his next fight, there is no one bigger and better for Broner to face than the man sitting ringside on Saturday night.
