Jodi Arias became known nationwide after stabbing her boyfriend Travis Alexander over 20 times and killing him. Arias had testified at her trial that it was in self-defense, but on May 8, 2013 a jury convicted Arias of first-degree murder. The trial and court case garnered nationwide attention and led to a Lifetime movie titled "Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret." The movie just premiered on Lifetime Saturday, June 22 even though the sentencing for Arias hasn't even been completed yet.

A jury has yet to even decide whether or not Arias will receive the death penalty, but Lifetime's "Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret" aired a movie that brought viewers up to the night Arias stabbed Alexander to death.

Lifetime movies are known for their sub-par acting, but according to various reviews it seems as though the movie wasn't half bad. Tania Raymonde plays Arias in the movie and she may be the most well-known cast member from her time on "Lost." She has also been on a number of popular TV shows such as "Hawaii Five-O," "90210," and "Chicago Fire." The reviews of the movie were mixed, but surprisingly there seemed to be more positive than negative reviews.

The New York Daily News review says, "Viewers who were glued to the trial may note a misplaced detail here and there, but in general they are likely to find this 87-minute movie a solid summation of Arias' disintegration."

Hollywood Reporter offers a less positive review saying, "The facts are there, but they are without adequate context, making the movie fine for catching a friend up with the main points of the trial, but it doesn't allow the movie to stand alone, nor does it offer any new dimensions to the story it's telling."

The Associated Press review says, "The big surprise: Dirty Little Secret is a pretty good film. It's a draw-you-in, sudsy melodrama stocked with guilty pleasures: romance, sex, obsession, betrayal and vengeance."

According to Lifetime's website there is an encore of the movie Monday night at 8/7C in case you missed the first airing and want to watch it.
