Bruno Mars Moonshine Jungle Tour: Singer Kicks Off 2013 World Tour in D.C., WATCH 'Gorilla,' 'Treasure' Performances [VIDEOS]

Bruno Mars kicked off his highly anticipated 2013 world tour at Washington D.C.'s Verizon Center on Saturday night. Mars has already been receiving rave reviews for his opening night performance of "Gorilla" and has even been garnering Michael Jackson comparisons. While performing "Gorilla" and "Treasure" off of his Unorthodox Jukebox album live for fans he had the crowd in awe. You can watch videos of his performances below.

Mars recently had to go through the loss of his mother, which likely makes the world tour even more grueling for the young singer. However, by the looks of his first show in D.C., Mars will have a very successful 2013 tour. You can watch videos of Mars performing "Gorilla" and "Treasure" below.

Mars tweeted a thank you to fans showing support after the tragic passing of his mother back in June. "So thankful for all the love during the most difficult time in my life. Ill be back on my feet again soon. Thats what mom wants, she told me." Bernadette Hernandez passed away back in June at the age of 55 of a brain aneurysm in Honolulu, Hawaii.
