Courtney Love has been uncharacteristically quiet lately. The Hole frontwoman has gotten into plenty of trouble in her life. From drug addiction and money troubles to her strained relationship with her daughter and Twitter drama, Love has seen it all.

Lately, though, the "Mono" singer has been living well. Now, she's on her first tour since 2010 and penning an autobiography about her rollercoaster of a life.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Love revealed that she's working hard on a memoir, due out around Christmas.

"I'm writing some of it myself and then I'm co-writing it with Anthony Bozza. Yesterday, I did four hours on it, the day before that I did five hours," she said. "Just covering the bases, but I finally have a map of places that need coverage and I can hop around from starting in 1994 and get to 2008 in two sentences. It's hard for me to be really linear."

Love said that her book will be a mixture between Russell Brand's My Booky Wook, Patti Smith's Just Kids and a Tallulah Bankhead book.

Meanwhile, Love is also performing across the U.S. on her I'm Still Alive Tour. Fans of the rock star can expect to hear rarely played songs in concert this time around, as Love isn't touring to promote a new release.

"Someone brought up 'Credit in the Straight World' - I'm gonna look into that. There are probably four or five songs on America's Sweetheart that we can look into. There are songs I don't play almost ever that we can look into," she said.

The I'm Still Alive tour will head to Brooklyn, New York, next on June 26.
