One Direction New Song 2013 'Best Song Ever': Boy Band Announces Fan Contest to Design Album Artwork

One Direction seem to know that if you're going to deem your next single the "Best Song Ever," you need to get your fans involved. And, that's exactly what 1D are doing.

Three weeks before the single's official release on July 22, the U.K. boy band has announced that they will hold a new contest every week until the song comes out.

If the Monday release date seems unusual for a new song that's because it is. "Best Song Ever" is being released on a Monday, so all 1D fans can get it on the same day. In the U.K., new singles are released on Sundays, while Tuesday is the release date in the United States. The band has decided to meet in the middle.

In preparation for the single's release, fans have been asked to design the single's album cover this week.

So, One Directioners had better whip out their crayons and photographs. The contest only lasts for today. The band is expected to reveal the album cover tomorrow, assuming they like what they see from their fans.

"Best Song Ever" was first announced last week alongside the trailer for their upcoming concert documentary This Is Us. The track can be heard beginning at the 2-minute, 39-second mark and seems to be an incredibly upbeat number about "dancing all night to the best song ever."
