Demi Lovato may be "Made in the USA," but the X Factor judge will not be able to perform at Philly 4th of July Jam put on by VH1. The "Heart Attack" singer had to cancel her performance at the program due to tonsillitis.

Lovato tweeted yesterday (July 2) that she was not feeling well. "Chills + fever + gross looking tonsils... = no bueno... Mooooommmmmm????!!!!!?!!?" and "Sucks being so sick when you're alone and away from home. someone... come hold meeeeee... And bring me soup!!!"

Not only did the singer confirm that she's just as mopey of a sick person as the rest of the world, but she also confirmed that she would have to cancel her appearance at the Fourth of July celebration.

However, that does not mean that there will be one less performer at the Philadelphia show. "Wanted" singer Hunter Hayes has stepped in to take Lovato's place, according to VH1.

Hayes is best known for his self-titled debut album, which features the songs "Wanted" and "I Want Crazy." The young country singer has gained legions of fans with his earnest songwriting.

The 4th of July Jam will air live on VH1 tomorrow at 8 p.m. Hayes joins John Mayer, J. Cole, Ne-Yo, The Roots, Jill Scott and Grace Potter in the lineup. Fans can follow along during the show on Twitter with #PhillyJam.

Meanwhile, Lovato will surely be lounging somewhere with some soup as she recovers from her tonsillitis.
