The George Zimmerman trial has been one of the longer and more scrutinized trials in recent memory. 17-year-old teenager, Trayvon Martin, was shot and killed by former neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman. Ever since that fatal night, the country has been captivated by the case. Zimmerman's trial has finally concluded, with everyone seemingly standing by as a six-woman jury goes over the evidence and decides whether or not Zimmerman is guilty of either second-degree murder or manslaughter. On Saturday, the jury continued to deliberate as protestors stood outside the Seminole County courtroom waiting for a decision. Some are worried that if Zimmerman is found not guilty there could be protests and even riots in Florida.

The jury began deliberating again on Saturday, but as of early Saturday evening there is no word of a verdict yet. The six-person jury got the instructions and the case Friday early evening and began deliberating. At one point Friday they asked the court for a list of evidence, but besides that there has been little news from the courtroom since. For George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin's family it's now a waiting game.

Trayvon Martin's parents and protestors are hoping that Martin can get justice. "Justice, to me, would be for the person who killed our son to be held accountable and for all the evidence to come out and for, you know, a jury to hear everything that happened that night of February 26," Trayvon's mother ,Sybrina Fulton, told NBC News a month before the trial.

Law enforcement officials are now worried that a verdict of not guilty from the jury could result in more protests and even riots. On Friday, Sanford Police Chief Cecil Smith and Seminole County Sheriff Donald Eslinger held a press conference urging people to remain calm after the verdict is read. The Detroit Free Press reports that Eslinger said, "We will not tolerate anyone who uses this verdict as an excuse to violate the law."

According to BlackBlueDog.com, the Broward County Sheriff's Office has released a PSA video titled, "Raise Your Voice, Not Your Hands," urging people to not riot. You can watch the video below.

It's impossible for anyone to know how people react after the verdict is read, but tensions are certainly high across the country in relation to the George Zimmerman trial.
