The Wanted New Single 2013 'We Own The Night' Released: Song Teased on 'The Wanted Life' Gets Full Release, Is Hopeful Anthem as Memorable as Party in Lyrics? [REVIEW]

After teasing their new single 2013 "We Own The Night" on the TV reality show "The Wanted Life" last month, UK boy band The Wanted have officially released the new track in full.

"The Wanted Life" preview revealed the first verse and chorus of the song, and the rest of the track follows suit. Themed around wanting to be remembered for partying and having a plain old good time, "We Own The Night" falls in line lyrically with other Wanted hits, such as "Glad You Came" and "Chasing The Sun."

"May your hearts be full like our drinks tonight, / May we sing and dance 'til we lose our minds, / We are only young is we seize the night, / Tonight, we own the night," the group sings in the hopeful sounding chorus.

Though there are talks of funerals and gravestones in the track, "We Own The Night" is a celebratory, upbeat track. The partying The Wanted take in is just so epic that they will be remembered for generations to come.

The music is lighter fare for the "Walks Like Rihanna" band, falling in line with that single as opposed to their EP "The Wanted."

It's unlikely that "We Own The Night" will reach the massive success of The Wanted's boy band contemporaries One Direction's new single "Best Song Ever." It's a solid enough song, but lacks an attention-grabbing hook

"We Own The Night" is the second single from The Wanted's first full-length album in America, "Word of Mouth." The record will be released on Sept. 17. The album has faced many delays and was originally due out last year.
