FX's popular series "American Horror Story" does not need much promotion for its upcoming third season entitled "Coven," so the first teaser trailer is only about 18 seconds long. But it is quite possibly the creepiest teaser trailer in the history of 18-second-long promos. Season three will certainly satisfy "AHS" fans if this promo is any indication for "Coven." The YouTube description for this clip (which is entitled "Detention") simple states: "This October. . .lift your spirits." See what this means below.

Mstars recently reported on the cast and crew of "American Horror Story" talking about this year's chapter, "Coven." Here is an excerpt:

"AHS" veterans Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson joined Minear on a panel, along with newcomers Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett.

"There's a feminist theme throughout Coven," Minear said. "There are also themes of race and oppression and family, especially mothers and daughters, along with laughs and scares and a few tears."

Lange said she would "play a witch" in Season 3 and added that, "I've shot two days so far, so I don't know who the character is yet. It comes in little dribs and drabs."

Paulson will play Lange's character's daughter, Cordelia, and Bassett will play Marie Leveau, who is based on "a woman in the 1800s who was very influential in the city," according to Bassett. "The city" she referenced is New Orleans.

Bates will play Madame LaLaurie, a real-life socialite and serial killer from New Orleans into the 1830s.
