About two weeks ago, "Late Night" talk show host Jimmy Fallon and his wife, producer Nancy Juvonen, welcomed their daughter Winnie Rose into their lives. Fallon announced the news on his show and was very excited about the news. Now a new interview with the "TODAY" show airing next week has reveled that he and his wife used a surrogate for their child.
"It wasn't really a secret but my wife and I had been trying for a while to have a baby," the "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" host told "Today" of his new daughter, Winnie. "We've tried a bunch of things, so we had a surrogate."
"This time we just said, we're not telling anybody, it would just be more fun if it's just private between me and my wife and then we get to introduce her to everybody," he said. "When it happened we were in shock. We're like, 'Alright, who do we tell? Who's going to be mad at us if this gets out?' We had to call everybody and it's so emotional."
This interview will air next week.
Mstars recently reported on Fallon's announcement of his daughter (video HERE). Here is an excerpt:
NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" host, Jimmy Fallon, welcomed a new baby girl into his family with wife Nancy Juvonen. Fallon opened his show by welcoming the audience and then saying, "I'm your host Da-Da." He then informed his audience about his new daughter, Minnie Rose Fallon.
"It's been a crazy couple days," he said right before realizing it had only been one day since the birth of his daughter. "It was just yesterday. It feels like I've been at a four-day conference or something."
"It's very taxing on the fathers," he admitted. "I don't know how it is on the mothers, but very taxing. I'm emotionally drained."
"I'm a father of a beautiful baby girl, " Fallon announced to an eruption of applause. "She's so cute. "Her name is Winnie Rose Fallon, and she's so cute. She's five pounds, nine ounces."
Jimmy said that he and his wife are so happy and thanked his fans for all of the well wishes he has received through Twitter, Facebook and other mediums.
