Britney Spears New Single 2013 'All Eyes On Me?' Mysterious Countdown Clock on 'Ooh La La' Singer's Website Teases First Single from New Album 2013 [PHOTO]

Is new music from Britney Spears on the way? Today (Aug. 20), fans who woke up and visited her official website were in for a surprise... a mysterious countdown clock. Featuring a simple black background, the pop star's name and the phrase "All Eyes On Me," the website is now counting down the time until something new from Spears drops.

With a little under 28 days remaining, this means something big for Spears will happen on Sept. 17 at 9:30 a.m. EST. Entering your email on the site signs the user up for the Britney Spears newsletter.

It's unclear if "All Eyes On Me" is the name of Spears' first single from her eighth studio album or a declaration of her triumphant return to music. The phrase, of course, calls back to the lyrics of her 2008 single "Circus."

Though, it wouldn't be a big surprise if a new Spears single gave a shout out to her past music. For weeks, the pop star has been teasing that her eighth studio album will be "for [her] diehard fans."

On Aug. 5, Spears posted an "Album 8 Recipe" on her Instagram account, showing that her next effort will combine the best of her previous seven studio albums to make the perfect Spears experience for fans.

Spears has stated that her new album will be out before the end of the year, according to an interview she did with Ryan Seacrest in June. She's been hard at work in the studio with her "Scream & Shout" partner will.i.am and William Orbit, among other producers.

If "All Eyes On Me" is, in fact, a single, it won't be the singer's first release of 2013. Earlier in the summer, Spears dropped "Ooh La La," a light, poppy and family-friendly tune for the "Smurfs 2" soundtrack.
