Kendrick Lamar "Control" Verse: ASAP Rocky Responds To King Of New York Diss

ASAP Rocky is the latest to respond to Kendrick Lamar's verse on "Control" without writing an actual song. Rocky, who is mentioned directly by K-Dot, says that Kendrick is "smoking crack" if he thinks he can claim the title of King Of New York. ASAP Ferg throws out a reference to "No Church in the Wild"/ his new album Trap Lord asking "What's a King to a Lord?" (the answer is, of course, an overlord. Ferg didn't think that through). Rocky lets it be known that he thinks all the people responding to Lamar's diss are missing the point.

"Honestly, K. Dot and them ni**as, that's fam. I think hip-hop needs this shit. It's ni**as pissed off just because they wasn't mentioned. I'm not justifying shit, rap is rap. The ni**a didn't say nothing about nobody mother...he ain't want problems. He said these is my ni**as and I'm lettin' ya'll know it's competition. What's the problem? That man know I'm where he at," Rocky said.

 "It's not about being relevant," Rocky added. "Hip-hop is all about the sport, all about the culture... I feel like the people who were named shouldn't feel some type of way."

Rocky went on to call Lamar one of the "best of his generation" and said he's got nothing but love for the TDE family.

"Rap is an outlet to express and say anything you want," Rocky said. "If he says he's king of New York, laugh at it."
