Selena Gomez is a pretty busy 21-year-old. She has successful careers in the music and film industries, though she enjoys bouncing between the two according to her recent interview with CNN. She released her latest album "Stars Dance" earlier this summer, but is currently promoting her new film Getaway. In this new interview, she discussed how she feels that her acting needs some work and in order to get better she plans on making more movies.

"I just think I need to get better at acting," Gomez said. "And in order to do that, I need to do more of it."

"I feel like music was really such a great outlet for me. It's therapeutic, it's so much fun," she explained. "Obviously being able to be on stage and dance around, it's awesome, and you just have a good time and the adrenaline's taking over. But I have to do more (acting) to get better so I want to do that. It's like my own personal thing."

She might be a little hard on herself, though. Her other movie that came out earlier this year, Spring Breakers, received rave reviews with plenty of praise for Gomez's acting. It was definitely a big step for the former Disney star to work on such a controversial film, which features 4 young girls committing crimes and going wild while only wearing bikinis. James Franco also stars in the movie.

Her new film Getaway is a more straightforward action movie about car chases and a race against time. Ethan Hawke also stars and he has apparently been giving Gomez some "fatherly advice" with her acting career.

"More than anything I loved hearing his stories because he's been doing this for a while," she said in an interview earlier this week. "So I was very wide-eyed when he would tell a lot of stories because it was interesting, and he doesn't realize when you speak."
