Hell hath no fury like a Taylor Swift scorned. Swift attended the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards last night (Aug. 25) in Brooklyn and was in the same arena as her One Direction ex Harry Styles. Though it has been roughly nine months since the couple parted, Swift clearly still holds some harsh feelings toward Styles, and made those no secret during the ceremonies last night.

The Swift/Styles drama began at the very top of the show, when One Direction presented the Moonman for Best Pop Video. As the "Best Song Ever" group was introducing the nominees and talking about Brooklyn, MTV cut to Swift who could be seen saying "Shut the f**k up" to her BFF Selena Gomez while 1D were talking.

That was not the end of Swift's shade toward Styles, however. Swift won the Moonman for Best Female Video for her video "I Knew You Were Trouble." After exclaiming her excitement about getting the trophy from Daft Punk, Pharrell and Nile Rodgers, and thanking her fans, Swift thanked a very special person in the audience.

"I also want to thank the person who inspired this song, who knows exactly who he is," she said with some bite in her voice. "Because now I got one of these. Thank you so much!"

MTV, with the clever producers they always have, immediately cut to Styles, who tried his hardest to appear nonchalant and hold back laughter at Swift's speech.

Of course, this is not the first time Swift has attacked her former flame at an awards show. Most notably, during her Grammy performance of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," she spoke in a British accent, mocking Styles.
