What do Lady Gaga and LMFAO have in common? Besides both being top-charting artists, both have had their music features in a Kia Soul commercial. Today (Aug. 23), Kia posted a new commercial to their YouTube channel featuring their seemingly popular but also kind of creepy hamsters promoting the Soul, and this time, the little rodents' antics are set to the first "Artpop" single "Applause."

The concept for the 90-second clip is that like the Kia Soul, the hamsters are undergoing a transformation. The trio of plump, tan anthropomorphic animals is shown working out and getting a makeover. The hamsters run on treadmills, do sit-ups and swim laps in order to reshape their bodies and, likely, refocus their minds. In between shots of the hamsters, designers can be seen giving the Kia Soul a similar makeover.

In the end, the newly slim hamsters stroll up to an awards show in the newly slim car. All is well in the world, and all is set to Gaga's "Applause," a fittingly upbeat track to get in shape to.

Watch the 90-second commercial below.

According to USA Today, a 60-second version of the commercial will premiere on Aug. 25 during the MTV Video Music Awards, immediately following Gaga's opening performance of "Applause."

Gaga won't be the only performer to have a commercial tied to her new single at the VMAs. Katy Perry has newly inked a deal with Pepsi. The soda company and the singer have teamed up to help tease two new tracks off her upcoming Oct. 22 album, "Prism" at the VMAs.
