Leading up to Lady Gaga's opening gig at the seventh annual iTunes Festival in London, the "Applause" singer has been posting rehearsal videos on her official YouTube account, allowing fans to get not only a sneak peek at her concert but also at her new album "Artpop." Yesterday, Gaga gave a one-minute listen at "Swine," a pig-inspired revenge song. Today's offering comes in the form of "MANiCURE."
It's hard to really distinguish what "MANiCURE" sounds like from the clip. It's certainly rock-inspired, with strong drumbeats that give a steady, poppy dance feel. It's more grooving than, say, the pure pop and EDM influence of "Applause."
However, the difficulty in distinguishing the sounds of "MANiCURE" is all a part of Gaga's master plan, as she explained on her Twitter.
"THE SOUND QUALITY OF THESE CLIPS HAS BEEN OBSTRUCTED TO GIVE YOU A TASTE OF ARTPOP BUT ULTIMATELY CONFUSE YOU UNTIL SUNDAY. #SWINEFEST," she wrote.
However, Gaga is still offering her fans sample lyrics from "MANiCURE." It seems like a track about primping yourself up for love, though from a small sample, it's quite hard to tell.

Gaga first teased a month ago that her iTunes Festival Performance will contain an hour's worth of music, which I roughly how long albums are. Fans can expect to get a full taste of "Artpop," including "Applause," "Swine," and "MANiCURE" on Sept. 1.
"Artpop" will be released on Nov. 11.
