In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Mumford & Sons keyboardist Ben Lovett revealed some sad news about the band's future. After wrapping up the last tour dates on the 2013 "Babel" tour, it looks like Mumford & Sons will be taking a break from making music, but the members are not sure how long it will be before they come back.

"We have no idea," Lovett said when asked how long this hiatus would be. "We just know we're going to take a considerable amount of time off and just go back to hanging out and having no commitments or pressure or anything like that. It feels like the last week of school right now, before school holiday when you're in high school. The atmosphere on the road is one of . . . I think everyone's excited about being free of schedules."

"We're just going to rest up," Lovett continued. "I don't think we've had actually much time in the process to be with other people and living a life outside of the band. I think that's what's in place at the moment, to do very little - especially when it comes to Mumford & Sons."

2013 has been both rewarding and harrowing for the band. First of all, Mumford & Sons were quite surprised to win Grammy Awards.

Bassist Ted Dwane said, "It felt really weird. We'd been [to the Grammys] a few times. The physiological experience of sitting there and being shortlisted and calling out someone else's name was rehearsed. But this third time, we won. They called us up. And it was the big one, as well. Really crazy."

The band also had to face some hard times when Dwane had to have a blood clot removed from his brain.

"[Ted] has been nothing short of heroic in how he has handled the whole ordeal, and now it has been medically proved that he does indeed have a brain," they jokingly wrote in a Facebook post earlier this year.

But with such a dramatic year, it looks like a break is warranted for this talented group.
