It's still a mystery whether Selena Gomez and George Shelley are actually dating or even "hooked up" as some reports would have you believe. Now a new source has come forward explaining how Gomez might not be able to move into a new relationship all thanks to the baggage she has left over from her most infamous relationship with Justin Bieber.

"She isn't dating anyone. She was just having fun," a source said of the rumors about Shelley. "Although he definitely wanted to date her, she can't handle the baggage now."

The original story about Gomez and Shelley spending a night together during a "Stars Dance" tour concert in Portugal came from an unnamed source, so who knows exactly what happened.

"She invited all the Union J boys and some other members of her entourage to her room and they had a great time drinking and dancing," the insider said. "Selena and George were all over each other and things got very heated."

The source added: "Everyone else left at 2 a.m. so they were able to spend the night together."

But George's band mate J.J. Hamblett recently spoke against this rumor.

J.J. said: "They are just friends. It's not our place to discuss but they are friends and, obviously, George will say what he wants to say about the situation."

"She didn't get off stage until quite late," Hamblett continued. "So we just went and she invited us all back to her hotel and we had a drink."
