It seems as though the Twitter feud between Lady Gaga and Maroon 5 lead singer and "The Voice" coach Adam Levine keeps trucking along. After exchanging passive-aggressive tweets aimed at each other late last week, Levine has fired back at the Mother Monster once again.

On Friday (Sept. 20), Levine tweeted that "recycling old art for a younger generation... makes you an art teacher," and the "Applause" singer took offense to the statement with the simple phrase "uh oh guys the art police is here."

Levine has not let the social media drama drop, though. In the wee hours of the morning today (Sept. 24), Levine took to his official Twitter account to fire back at Lady Gaga and reaffirm where he stands in the art debate.

"Methinks thou dost protest too much...yikes!!!" Levine wrote, paraphrasing Shakespeare. "by the way, im NOT an artist. i sing in a band and i make music with my friends."

That wasn't all Levine had to say, though, he had to throw just a little bit more shade at Gaga before logging off Twitter for the evening. "while we're at it we should call the grammar police," he wrote.

This isn't the first time that Lady Gaga has been accused of ripping off other artists in her career. She's frequently compared to the likes of Madonna and David Bowie. Madge herself has claimed that she loves Gaga because "imitation is the highest form of flattery."

Meanwhile, Gaga seems content to keep trucking and considering herself an original artist. "Some of us are 'artists in this group called 'celebrity,' & what we create doesn't live on unless there's an audience to remember it," she wrote recently on her own Twitter.
