Drake had better prepare himself for a big week. His new album "Nothing Was The Same" was released yesterday (Sept. 24), and the sales numbers for the album are projected to be huge.

According to Hits Daily Double, "Nothing Was The Same" is expected to sell between 675,000 and 725,000 copies, a monstrous number that would put him up with some of modern music's biggest acts, Justin Timberlake and Jay Z.

The best week for a top selling album in 2013 thus far has gone to Timberlake's comeback record, "The 20/20 Experience." Released in March, that record sold an astronomical 968,000 copies in its first week, according to Billboard.

In July, Jay Z brought in his "Magna Carta Holy Grail" era with a huge sales week of 528,000 copies.

So, if the Drake predictions are correct, the "Hold On, We're Going Home" rapper would actually surpass the biggest name in rap in terms of record sales. That's not to say all would be lost for Jay Z. He does, in fact, guest on "Pound Cake."

"Nothing Was The Same" is surely helped by the hype surrounding the album and the positive critical reviews. Indeed, "Nothing Was The Same" shows Drake coming in to his own as a rapper. He mixes together intense personal experiences and emotions with confident rapping abilities and has created his strongest record to date.

It seems as though the album leaking early last week hasn't hurt Drake, and he certainly will not be starting from the bottom.
