This weekend, the new season of Saturday Night Live premieres with host Tina Fey and special musical guest The Arcade Fire. The band is currently promoting its soon-to-be-released album Reflektor, and also have a special treat airing after the SNL opener. A special 30-minute concert performance will air on NBC directly after Saturday Night Live, featuring songs from Reflektor.

Here is the press release from Arcade Fire's booking agency, Billions, in regards to this news:

Arcade Fire will be the musical guests on this weekend's Saturday Night Live. The band will be performing two songs off their upcoming album, Reflektor (Merge Records). The episode will be hosted by Tina Fey. Immediately following the show, NBC will air a 30-minute concert special with Arcade Fire. Saturday Night Live airs at 11:30 pm/10:30 pm central.

And here is the promo video featuring host Fey and the band:

SNL recently released the first promotional commercials for the upcoming season featuring Fey and cast member Keenan Thompson. This promo definitely keeps things light, and even addresses a recent "nip slip" situation that Tina was involved in over the weekend at the Emmy Awards ceremony.

Keenan and Tina tackle topics like friendship, sexy numbers, Breaking Bad and Thompson's inability to age, but the big pay-off is the wardrobe malfunction joke they make.

Considering we're talking about Fey, we all pretty much assumed the Bossy Pants author would laugh off her embarrassing moment, so seeing this brief sketch is great for her fans.
