"Nothing Was The Same" Rapper Drake has never been one to shy away from representing his hometown of Toronto. After years of loving the Canadian city, his dedication has been rewarded. He has been deemed as the new Global Ambassador for the Toronto basketball team, the Raptors, according to USA Today.

Today, the team and city held a press conference to announce that Toronto will be the host of the 2016 NBA All-Star Game. Drake was present to accept his new role, and the rapper spoke briefly.

"I'm extremely passionate about two things: my city and my family. And being up here with my new family, these gentlemen, I'm extremely excited," he said before joking about his choice of attire. "Being up here let me know two things: I have a new family and I need to go to Harry Rosen and get some neutral suits 'cause these vibrant blues just aren't going to cut it at these press conferences anymore."

Drake also spoke about his love for his hometown, traveling the world "preaching the gospel of Toronto" and how he grew up as a huge fan of the Toronto Raptors.
