According to a new "report" from Life and Styles, pop singer Taylor Swift allegedly only dated Harry Styles after she was rejected by his One Direction bandmate, Zayn Malik. This news comes from the same website that romantically linked Taylor to professional surfer JJ Florence despite the two never having met, so this is clearly just gossip right now.

This article sites a source that said Taylor "originally had her eye on Zayn."

"When Zayn found out she was interested, he turned her down," this insider explained. "That's when she swooped in on Harry."

This news is definitely hard to believe considering this would have happened about a year ago, meaning this "source" stayed quiet for that long for some reason.

But a representative for Swift has already come out and denied this strange rumor. So let's move on!

Meanwhile, another report involving Harry and Zayn might peak your interest a bit more than this original gossip.

According to a tweet from a fan lucky enough to catch a One Direction sound check this week, Harry Styles admitted he'd rather kiss Zayn than Selena Gomez.

Check out the tweet right here:

This news comes around the same time as reports of Harry being lonely on tour. Perhaps a smooch from Zayn would cheer him up a bit?

''He often wakes his personal trainer Mark in the middle of the night because he's so lonely that he'd prefer them to work out together than be on his own," a source explained.
