Niall Horan's troublesome knee problems could lead to a short career as a pop singer for the One Direction member. According to a new interview, Niall feels that he couldn't keep up with legendary rocker Mick Jagger thanks to his "dodgy knees." Does this mean that the Irish heartthrob is eying an exit from the boy band lifestyle?

When speaking to The Sun about the Rolling Stones frontman and how he's still very athletic even though he's in his 70s, Niall lamented about his future as a performer.

'Jagger does it but I don't think at the moment I'd be able to," Horan said. "I've got dodgy knees.''

Niall has been talking quite a bit about his knees recently, and took to his Twitter account to complain about them recently. The "Best Song Ever" singer had surgery about a year ago on his knees but is still feeling discomfort.

Meanwhile, Niall's bandmate Harry Styles has been looking up to Mick Jagger as well. The singer clearly idolizes the rocker whose fashion sense inspires Styles' look today. But Harry also wants to avoid what Niall was talking about and is trying to be in the same shape as Jagger.

''Harry wants a career spanning decades like Mick's and to have that he recognises fitness, health and developing his body is the key," a source explained. ''He spoke to [his trainer] Torje about Jagger's intense routine of kick-boxing, running, weights and, most importantly, ballet."

Wouldn't you like to see Styles attempting ballet? Well don't get your hopes up.

''That's the Achilles' heel in Harry's training," the source revealed. "He can't dance and neither can any of the 1D boys - their choreographer recognized early on they shouldn't dance on stage.''

Do you think Harry will continue performing into his 70s like Jagger? How far do you think Niall's knees will take him?
