Have you ever wondered what a mash-up song of Metallica's "One" and U2's tune of the same name would sound like? Well, imagine if it was actually an acoustic, live mash-up sung by Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell. Still interested? Check out this very unique mash-up right here!

We all know that mash-ups are one of the more interesting results of electronic music capabilities. Mixing aspects of songs together with parts of others is somewhat of an art these days, but mash-ups tend to stay in the production and electronic genres these days. That is why Chris Cornell's take on two iconic songs is so special.

Instead of producing a track to spread around the internet as more of a viral promotion tool, the Soundgarden vocalist decided to incorporate his covers of "One" into an acoustic song for his current tour in support of his live album "Songbook." Clearly these songs are not part of his personal songbook, but he has made his own version for his fans.

Check out this unique mash-up of U2 and Metallica's respective songs entitled "One," as performed live by Chris Cornell:

What did you think of this mash-up song? Do you prefer the other electronic mash-up mixes that we have become accustom to or are you happy to hear this fresh take on the concept? Let us know in the comments section.
