The Doctor Who 50th anniversary special episode, "The Day of the Doctor," will broadcast worldwide on November 23 in a simulcast presentation to avoid spoilers. On top of this great news, select movie theaters in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and Russia will show the episode in 3D for lucky viewers.

Though there has yet to be an announcement for the UK and US movie theaters (or cinemas), it looks like the other countries will have to make due with a limited amount of available venues to watch "The Day of the Doctor" in 3D.

As you probably know, David Tennant has returned to reprise his iconic Doctor role in this new special but there was another former Doctor who had been passed over. Doctor number 8, Paul McGann, recently cleared up rumors of his appearance in the special and spoke about his disappointment in not being involved.

McGann, who portrayed the Doctor in the 1996 television movie of the popular show, said, "I was a bit dismayed. A bit gutted [not to be asked], but [the older Doctors] are not in it."

"There's all kinds of rumors... doing the rounds. One gets tired of trying to refute things on Twitter and the like, but take it from me - I'm not in it," he revealed, bringing an end to the rumors of his return.

But if you're hoping to see the eighth regeneration of the Doctor again, you may be in luck.

"The thing about Doctor Who is... if not now, then maybe some other time," McGann teased. "That's the beauty of it - we can always come back."
