'Batman: Arkham Origins' 2013, 17-Minute Gameplay Video Footage [WATCH]: New Villains Revealed

One if the most anticipated video games coming out this year is Batman: Arkham Origins and it hits stores this week. That said, WB Games has been hyping up the release with a number of promotional videos including this new 17-minute gameplay video detailing some cool new features for this iconic character's latest video game.

In this new video, we get a first-hand look at how the game handles as well as some backstory on Batman: Arkham Origins. As most of us know, the video game is set in the second year of Batman's career as a vigilante, so he is much younger and more mysterious than the previous Arkham games.

The gameplay video voiceovers explain that Batman has to view the Gotham City Police Department as potential threats but not to treat them as he does the criminals. We see just how the Dark Knight handles these situations.

We also get our first in-depth look at Batman's Bat Cave, which is a new feature in this video game franchise. From this headquarters, players can train, fast-travel and research during the course of the game. We also get to see Alfred!

The main antagonists in this new game are eight assassins that have come out to collect a bounty on Batman's head, put out by Black Mask. So far WB Games has revealed seven of these deadly DC characters: Deadshot, Deathstroke, Lady Shiva, Copperhead, Electrocutioner, Firefly, and Bane.

Other villains like Killer Croc, the Penguin, the Mad Hatter, and the Joker, to name a few, are also involved, but not as assassins.
